Education BA (A), Work-based Placement, 7.5 credits

Aim

The course aims for the student to demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities in relation to undergraduate education and should

\- enhance their knowledge of the school form/activity that the practical training concerns, 

\- develop their ability to independently apply knowledge within the main field of pedagogy, 

\- refine their ability to handle phenomena, issues, and situations, and 

\- enhance their prerequisites for professional practice that demands a high level of independence.

Course objectives

The student should:

- get to know and be able to account for goals, content, and methods and participate in the activities,
- demonstrate the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate activities/teaching and related tasks, 
- through personal experience, explore the teacher's professional role,
- demonstrate the ability to reflect and analyze, assess, and handle phenomena, issues, and situations.

Content

Internship in pre-school, leisure-centre, basic school, secondary or upper secondary school. Training school or other educational or social activities for children and young people.

Entry requirements

Admission to Teacher Education and accepted for Erasmus placement or Nordplus placement in home country. Admission to Teacher Education and accepted for Erasmus placement or Nordplus placement at Mid Sweden University.

Selection rules and procedures

The selection process is in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance and the local order of admission.

Internship in selected activities.

1000: Exam, 7.5 Credits
Grade scale: Seven-grade scale, A-F o Fx

Assessment is through and internship report. Local tutor makes a judgment in an assessment form.
