Aim
The aim of the course is that the student shall acquire basic knowledge in film techniques, producing stories with moving images and the editing of video material.
Course objectives
After passing the course students will:
- be able to describe basic image language
- be able to account for the workflow from written word to image
- demonstrate basic knowledge of video production
- be able to shoot and edit digital video
Content
The course deals with:
- introduction to creative writing, story structure and film grammar
- translation of word to image
- visual image language
- cinematography
- lighting
- editing video
- storytelling with moving images
Entry requirements
Photography BA (A), Digital Photography, 7.5 credits or equivalent.
