Aim
The purpose with the course is that the students shall acquire a knowledge that provides an understanding about the relationship between an organisation’s structure, leadership and communication.
Course objectives
After completion of the course students should have sufficient knowledge to:
- describe the development of leadership thought
- describe organisational communication as theory and research field.
- analyse and discuss the conditions for leadership communication on a group and organisation levels.
Content
During the course leadership thought and organisation communication are presented as research areas. Theories on these issues are discussed in relation to different applications.
Focus in the course is on
- leadership theory in a historical and contemporary perspective
- organisational communication in theory and practice
-application of the communicative perspective on leadership and organisation.
Entry requirements
Degree of Bachelor with 90 H E Credits in Business Administration or corresponding education.
Selection rules and procedures
The selection process is in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance and the local order of admission.
Teaching form
Teaching consists of lectures and seminars.
Examination form
The course includes both oral and written examination. It is made both individually and on group assignments.

Seven-grade scale, A, B, C, D, E, Fx and F. Fx and F represent fail levels.
