Aim
The course aims to develop the students ability to conduct limited research studies in the area of intelligent systems, i.e. the combination of machine learning, deep learning, and embedded systems. During the course the students will deepen their knowledge within this area, review related scientific literature, study relevant methods, and conduct a minor project.
Course objectives
After passing the course, the student should be able to:
- Identify relevant methods and tools from the research literature
- Apply methods and tools for a problem
- Evaluate the possibilities and limitations of selected methods
Content
The course includes:
- In-depth study of an area in intelligent systems
- Project in intelligent systems towards a specific area
- Study of models, methods, or techniques relevant for the area of intelligent systems
Entry requirements
Electrical Engineering MA: Machine Learning on Embedded Systems, 7.5 credits, and Deep Learning, 7.5 credits.
Selection rules and procedures
The selection process is in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance and the local order of admission.
Teaching form
The course is an individual project with guidance from the teachers.

P101: Project, Oral and Written Presentation, 9 Credits
Grade scale: Seven-grade scale, A, B, C, D, E, Fx and F. Fx and F represent fail levels.

Examination restrictions
