Aim
The course will enable you to acquire advanced knowledge and skills in scientific methodology to design, specify, evaluate and analyze an application in comparison with state-of-the art.
Course objectives
After the course you should be able to:
- report the results according to specified instruction,
- formulate a research problem,
- create a project plan based on a research problem,
- use systematic scientific methodology when evaluating problem formulations, methods and analyses,
- reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of scientific methods,
- discuss ethical and societal aspects of a research project.

Electrical Engineering MA, 15 credits.
Selection rules and procedures
The selection process is in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance and the local order of admission.
Teaching form
The course starts with introductory lectures, which are followed by seminars and project meetings where the students present and discuss the different parts of the course and progress on the project.
The student's work effort is estimated to 160 hours of work.
Examination form
P101: Report with oral and written examination, 4 Credits
Grade scale: Seven-grade scale, A, B, C, D, E, Fx and F. Fx and F represent fail levels.
S101: Student seminars, 2 Credits
Grade scale: Fail (U) or Pass (G)

Examination restrictions
