H3 – Multidimensional Sustainability
The project, which has been granted just over SEK 10 million, will last until 2026 and aims to contribute to regional and local development, by developing and improving research and innovation capacity and the use of advanced technology among participating companies.
Many companies and organisations have expressed needs and wishes to Mid Sweden University about wanting to increase their sustainability for about ten years now. In order to succeed, more skills, networks and collaboration with research are needed to further increase innovation, competitiveness and sustainable business and thus accelerate sustainable growth. Furthermore, the project is based on a broader grant on sustainability. This means that the concept of sustainability is reflected and focused within sustainable environment, social sustainability and sustainable innovation/entrepreneurship. The overall objective is a greater ability of participating parties to achieve increased sustainability. The objectives also differ for the participating parties. The common key is that with increased knowledge of sustainability, through close research collaboration, competitiveness and innovation capacity will increase both in the region and nationally.
The overall project goals are:
- Increase the attractiveness of Region Jämtland Härjedalen and Region Västernorrland by strengthening SME companies' opportunities for sustainable product/service development with innovative technology content. This is to contribute to regional business development and relocation of companies as well as organisations and interest associations within sports/sports and industry.
- Attract companies with less opportunities for their own advanced technical development, through internationally recognized research, that may benefit from the activities and results that the project generates.
