Dirk Michel-Schertges, Associate Professor of International Sociology of Education at Danmarks Institut for Pædagogik og Uddannelse, Arts, Aarhus Universitet.
His work and research interests include critical social theory, critical theory and social pathology, the concept of human development (Bildung), alienation and reification processes, the (re)construction of identity formations in light of processes of alienation, inter alia, related to cultural contexts of educational policy, social aesthetics, critical educational and social theory, political education and socialization, and social inequality.
