Longing for children while fearing to give birth

Many women are somewhat afraid of giving birth. For some the fear is so strong that they do not dare to try to get pregnant. With this study, we want to give voice to the experiences of these women.

Many women of childbearing age express fear of giving birth. Although we know that fear of childbirth can make women feel hesitant about daring to become pregnant, this aspect of being afraid is rarely studied.

This project aims to describe the experiences of women who wish to have children but do not dare to become pregnant due to fear of childbirth. In the project, we interview both women who have never been pregnant and women who have given birth before but who do not dare to become pregnant again.
