Archival Respositories in Härnösand
At Saltvik in Härnösand, the Swedish Tac agency will establish a new archival repository. Together with the municipality of Härnösand, a pilot research study is initiated to identify the opportunities this entails.
With the establishment of new archival repositories in HÄrnösand, there is a need to investigate the potential in developing a new competence centre where focus is use, usability, and how to make archival records available for citizens.
The research questions that guide this pilot study are:
- How can archival records be made available based on users' needs?
- How can potential users and potential use of archival records be identified?
- How can the usefulness of archival records be assessed and evaluated?
- How can analogue records be made available ?
This is a project in collaboration with Härnösand municipality in accordance with the collaboration agreement.
